Johann Hattingh

Johann is not just a Treatment Facilitator and Victim Empowerment Counselor; he is the embodiment of empathy and compassion. Over the past five years at Magalies Wellness Centre, Johann has dedicated himself to assisting clients navigating through some of life's toughest challenges. His attentive nature and kindness shine through as he works with individuals struggling with issues ranging from trauma, depression, and anxiety to addiction.


With qualifications from UNISA in Victim Empowerment and Support, as well as from Johns Hopkins University in Psychological First Aid, Johann brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his practice. These credentials, combined with his 17 years of experience as a journalist, have uniquely equipped him to understand the intricacies of human emotion and behavior.


What truly sets Johann apart is his genuine passion for helping others find their path to healing and self-discovery. He approaches his work not just as a job, but as a calling—a calling to guide individuals on a journey towards reconnecting with their true selves. Johann's ability to listen without judgment and to offer support without reservation makes him a beacon of hope for those in need.

Kerryn Matthews

Meet Kerryn Matthews. With a Master of Science in Psychology and six years of dedicated service as a Treatment Facilitator and on-site therapist, Kerryn brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to her practice.


Kerryn's journey in facilitating healing extends beyond conventional methods. She has facilitated numerous psilocybin journeys, guiding individuals through profound experiences of self-discovery and transformation. Her deep understanding of the human psyche, coupled with her gentle and intuitive approach, creates a safe space for exploration and growth.


At the core of Kerryn's philosophy is her unwavering belief in meeting people where they are. She understands that each individual's journey is unique, and she tailors her approach accordingly, ensuring that every person feels seen, heard, and valued.


With a background as a teacher in her former life, Kerryn brings a natural gift for communication and guidance to her therapeutic practice. She believes wholeheartedly in the power of humor as an integral part of both healing and facilitating healing. Kerryn's presence is characterized by her gentle demeanor, compassionate heart, and intuitive understanding of human nature.
